Jan. 3 (Bloomberg) — EDF Renewable Energy, a U.S. unit of French utility Electricite de France SA, said Bank of America Corp. invested an undisclosed amount in its Spearville 3 wind farm in Kansas.
The 100.8-megawatt project consists of 63 General Electric Co. turbines and went into operation in October northeast of Dodge City, Kansas, the EDF unit said in a statement today. Terms of the bank’s tax-equity investment weren’t disclosed.
Great Plains Energy Inc.’s Kansas City Power & Light is purchasing the power produced by Spearville 3 under a 20-year contact.
