(Bloomberg) — Conergy said it has signed contracts for 231
megawatts of solar projects in Southeast Asia in the last three
months, increasing the company’s total pipeline to 400 megawatts
in the region.
The solar developer added contracts for 201 megawatts in
the Philippines, including 62 megawatts in Negros Island for
Negros Island Solar Power and 13 megawatts in Pampanga for
Raslag, Conergy said in a statement.
Conergy also has plans for 27 megawatts in Thailand and 3
megawatts in Indonesia, according to the statement.
“Southeast Asia is an ideal location for solar because of
their year-round sunshine and abundance of space that is
suitable for solar,” Andrew de Pass, CEO of Conergy, said in the
statement.
Conergy is majority-owned by Kawa Capital Management Inc. a
Miami-based asset management firm.
