Sept. 23 (Bloomberg) — General Electric Co., the largest
U.S. turbine maker, won an order to supply 40 megawatts of
capacity to a wind farm in Poland.
GE will deliver 16 2.5-megawatt turbines to PGE Energia
Natury PEW for its Karwice wind farm, the Fairfield,
Connecticut-based company said today in an e-mailed statement.
Terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.
The wind farm about 15 kilometers (9 miles) from Darlowo
will be connected to the Sianow-Slawno transmission line and
produce enough power for about 35,000 homes, according to the
statement. GE will provide monitoring and diagnostic services
for the turbines from a facility in Germany.
