JinkoSolar Delivers Salt-Resistant Panels to Seaside Japan Plant

Nov. 7 (Bloomberg) — JinkoSolar Holding Co., a Shangrao,
China-based solar manufacturer, supplied 5 megawatts of panels
for a project along Japan’s central coast.

The solar farm in Meiwa, Mie Prefecture, is about 100
meters (328 feet) from the sea and uses panels designed to
resist damage from salt and mist, JinkoSolar said in a statement
today. Terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.

DMM, a solar installer, built the ground-mounted system,
which has been connected to the grid and is supplying power to
about 2,500 homes.
