Kyocera, Century Tokyo to Build 23MW Solar Power Plant in Kyoto

(Bloomberg) — Kyocera Corp. and Century Tokyo Leasing
Corp.
began construction of a 23-megawatt solar power station in
Kyoto.

The plant, to be set up on a former golf course, will start
operations in September 2017, Kyocera said in an e-mailed
statement Monday.

The station will produce enough electricity for about 8,100
homes.
