Orix to Join SoftBank, Komatsuzaki in 100MW Offshore Wind Farm

(Bloomberg) — Orix Corp. is investing in a 100-megawatt
wind farm off the coast of Ibaraki prefecture, northeast of
Tokyo.

The project, which is being developed by Komatsuzaki Group
and SB Energy, a unit of SoftBank Corp., will install 20 5-megawatt turbines, the companies said in a statement Thursday.

It is the first investment in offshore wind for Orix,
according to the statement. No financial terms were disclosed.
