Solar Power Buying Rights to Two U.K. Solar-Farm Projects

Sept. 4 (Bloomberg) — Solar Power Inc., a renewable-energy
developer backed by China’s LDK Solar Co., has agreed to buy the
rights to build and own two solar farms in the U.K.

The projects have a combined capacity of 30.5 megawatts,
Roseville, California-based Solar Power said today in a
statement. The company also is acquiring rights to develop an
additional 50 megawatts of capacity from the undisclosed London-based developer. Financial terms weren’t disclosed.

Roger Yu, a company spokesman, didn’t immediately return a
phone message seeking comment.

LDK owns about 42 percent of Solar Power, according to data
compiled by Bloomberg.
