Oct. 14 (Bloomberg) — Solaria Energia & Medio Ambiente SA,
a Spanish energy company, signed contracts with Uruguay’s state-run utility Usinas & Transmisiones Electricas, to provide
equipment for two solar plants.
The projects will have a combined installed capacity of 20
megawatts, Solaria said today in a regulatory filing. The Yarnel
project is in Uruguay’s Rio Negro state and the Natelu project
is in the country’s western Soriano state.
Both projects will be built by components made in Uruguay,
according to the filling. Solaria didn’t immediately respond to
e-mail and phone requests for comment.
