Nov. 6 (Bloomberg) — Trina Solar Ltd., China’s largest
profitable panel manufacturer, delivered modules with 7.8
megawatts of capacity for 10 rooftop projects in Thailand.
Nathalin Welstar Energy Ltd. will install the panels for
Siam Global House Pcl, Changzhou-based Trina said today in a
statement. The modules will provide about 95 percent of the
energy required at the home-improvement retailer’s facilities.
Terms of the sale weren’t disclosed.
The Thai National Energy Policy Commission last year
announced a feed-in tariff for rooftop solar systems to spur
development.
This order “demonstrates the growing demand for our
products in emerging markets,” Helena Li, Trina’s managing
director for Asia Pacific and the Middle East, said in the
statement. “We are encouraged by the Thai government’s efforts
to promote green initiatives.”
