(Bloomberg) — Vestas Wind Systems A/S, the world’s largest
turbine maker, agreed to supply equipment with 122 megawatts of
capacity to Allianz Capital Partners for a power plant in
Sweden.
The 37 3.3-megawatt turbines will be delivered in the first
quarter of next year and the project is expected to be
operational the following quarter, Aarhus, Denmark-based Vestas
said Friday in a statement on its website. The sale includes a
15-year service agreement. Prices weren’t disclosed.
Krafto Vind AB is developing the Sorby wind farm in
Sweden’s Ljusdal and Bollnas municipalities.
With this order, Vestas has exceeded 1 gigawatt in sales
for the first quarter of 2015, according to the statement. The
manufacturer has supplied about 1,600 turbines with more than
2.5 gigawatts of capacity to projects in Sweden.
