(Bloomberg) — Yingli Green Energy Holding Co., the second-largest panel maker, agreed to supply equipment with 40
megawatts of capacity to Borrego Solar Systems Inc.
The modules will be delivered this year, Baoding, China-based Yingli said Tuesday in a statement. Terms weren’t
disclosed.
Closely held Borrego intends to use the panels in
commercial- and utility-scale projects in the U.S., according to
the statement. The San Diego-based developer has installed 114
megawatts of Yingli panels since 2008.
Yingli was the biggest panel maker in 2013 and slipped in
2014 after Trina Solar Ltd. shipped 3.66 gigawatts of panels,
compared with Yingli’s 3.36 gigawatts.
